Consider this: Suppose your decision about a personal dilemma became a universal custom. Would it bring the world happiness or unhappiness? A sobering consideration, isn’t it? Yet, the choices and decisions we make each day do determine our futures. We determine our tomorrows by even the small choices we make. God desires to help you make wise choices. You can ask Him for confirmation of your decisions through prayer, His Word, the wise counsel of mature believers, as well as through circumstances. Prayer switches the focus from being self-centered to being God-centered, and provides supernatural help when facing uncertainties, big or small. Pray with your spouse as you face important decisions together. Prayer builds marital togetherness—and intimacy with God. Study His Word together and share insights you glean from God’s Word. His Word is often the source of His answers to our questions. Discuss: How does what you believe shape what you do? How does what you do shape what you believe? Pause here and reflect on this truth: God offers light for our journey just one step at a time. As you walk by faith in His light, maintain a positive, open attitude. Make a commitment to be available to your spouse. Spend quality time together, where you can become partners and best friends.Men must be decided on what they will not do, and then they
are able to act with vigor in which they ought to do.
